About Us

No, I Don’t Play Basketball™ began with one tall woman, one very familiar question, and one unexpected meeting that turned into a partnership.

Founder Ashley Hampton had spent years hearing the same thing everywhere she went in stores, at events, at the airport, even while minding her business pumping gas:
“Do you play basketball?”

One day, while visiting a business, Ashley crossed paths with a tall woman who instantly stood out. Before Ashley could even speak, her cousin looked at the woman and asked her the classic tall-girl question:
“How tall are you?”

That woman was Jenitha Fingfing.

The conversation that followed was natural. Ashley shared her idea — a brand created to represent tall people, stop the assumptions, and answer the question before anyone asks it.
And without hesitation, Jenitha said she wanted to be part of it.

What started as a random encounter became a partnership built on humor, height, and the shared experience of constantly being misunderstood. Ashley and Jenitha clicked instantly — their personalities, vision, and energy aligned, turning a simple conversation into the beginning of a movement.

No, I Don’t Play Basketball™ isn’t just apparel.
It’s a statement.
A boundary in bold text.
A cultural nod for tall people everywhere.

Together, Ashley and Jenitha design pieces that are minimal, iconic, and meaningful clothing that speaks loudly so tall people don’t have to repeat themselves. Their mission is simple: create a space where height is celebrated, not questioned.

This brand is for:
• The tall girls who get scouted at grocery stores
• The tall guys who are approached like athletes everywhere they go
• The ones always asked to reach the top shelf
• The people who stand out naturally and confidently

What started as a random meeting became a partnership.
What started as a stereotype became a brand.
And what started as a joke became a cultural movement.

Welcome to the height community.
Welcome to the movement.
Welcome to No, I Don’t Play Basketball™ , founded by Ashley, powered by Jenitha, and inspired by tall confidence everywhere.
